Shaneland Arts is the brainchild of co-founders Shane R. McCall and Mike Stein. Their vision is to create an intimate, inclusive space for all:

“I am beyond thrilled to bring this inclusive space to Phoenix. A place that we hope will inspire everyone no matter what their medium of artistry choice is. A place that you can enjoy watching art being created whether in a class or watching an artist in the studios. A place where you are encouraged to be yourself, find something in our gallery or retail store to take home with you that inspires you to create long after your visit. Also, as a Creativity Coach I hope to help those artists of any medium that have found themselves needing to discover or rediscover the artist within” Says Shane R. McCall, Creativity Coach + Co-Founder

shaneland-1Outside, the general public will be able to admire artistry from 2 local muralists. On the east side of the building, you will enjoy a mural titled “Colorfall” by Phoenix artist Lauren Lee, assisted by Chromatic Painting Company. Lauren Lee is well known throughout the Valley for her colorful works of art, her use of space and the size of her murals. Having graduated from ASU with a degree in Studio Art, Lee has been painting professionally for the last eight years, you can find her online @mslaurenlee. The mural on the west side of the building is titled “A Mexican Mural” by another Phoenix based artist, Diego Perez. Pérez is a Mexican artist who focuses on humor, irony, and traditional techniques. His formative influence is the Caravaggio’s Baroque where the realistic observation of the daily life is combined with the dramatic use of light, known as chiaroscuro. You can find him online @artofdiegoperez

Inside, art collectors and enthusiasts will be able to admire, curate, and purchase the works from local and national artists. The gallery will feature a broad selection of exhibits spanning different creative mediums. Currently the gallery is featuring two local artists, James Sanders @jamessandersart and Teresa Moore @teresamoore2647 in a show titled Self Expression.

Individuals can shop the retail store which offers a wide selection of unique goods: novelty merchandise, art supplies, LGBTQ Pride and artisan products — giving everyone who visits the opportunity to find that special gift.

Artists facing mental roadblocks or people looking to harness their creative gifts will find life-changing value in creativity coaching. Oneon- one and group themed workshops will be taught by Shane R. McCall, a Creativity Coach who has over 40 years of creative and management leadership experience. Regardless of background, artists of all mediums will learn personalized strategies to find and express their inner-creative talents, such as: a writer have trouble with the last chapter, an actor who is dealing with stage fright, a creative director dealing with the stress of creativity on demand, an artist preparing for their first gallery show, a potter who hasn’t touched a ball of clay for years, or a newly graduated creative student looking to navigate the corporate world.

Last, but certainly not least, Shaneland Arts will soon offer art classes — both technical and fun — in drawing, painting, writing, mixedmedia, and much more — taught by hand-picked instructors. These classes are designed to help professional artists sharpen their craft or give hobbyists an opportunity to satisfy their desire to learn a new skill.
